Rainy weather is expected during the Forum, air temperature can vary from +19 to +22 °С.
Due to the city’s geographic position and its proximity to the Baltic Sea an extreme change of weather is possible. We recommend participants to bring warm clothing and an umbrella with them.
St. Petersburg is one of Russia’s biggest transport hubs. The city is served by Pulkovo International Airport, five rail terminals, and a sea port. It also boasts numerous road links to cities in Russia and Europe.
There is likely to be increased traffic at all transport hubs during the Forum. We therefore advise participants to plan their journey well in advance.
VISA SUPPORT
Citizens of other countries can obtain the documents required for a Russian visa on the basis of invitation for foreign visitors (if a visa is required to enter the Russian Federation).
! Please note, that this is a separate document from a Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum invitation.
COVID-19 prevention measures
It is not required to present the results of a PCR test for entry into the Russian Federation or to quarantine after arrival in St. Petersburg.
You only need to fill out a questionnaire upon arriving in Russia. The questionnaire does not have to be completed by citizens of EAEU countries arriving through land borders: Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, and Kazakhstan.
However, selective or comprehensive testing of citizens is conducted at checkpoints, depending on the epidemiological situation in their country.
