Vladimir Region Delegation to Take Part in the 2nd Russia–Africa Summit and Economic Forum

Representatives of Vladimir Region are planning to
take part in the 2nd Russia–Africa Summit and Economic Forum to be
held in St. Petersburg in July 2023.
“Vladimir Region, like all of Russia, is always
open to international cooperation. We see how fast the world is changing, so it
is now important to have reliable partners in different parts of the globe. Our
region has well-developed mechanical engineering, electrical engineering,
chemical and glass industries, woodworking, pharmaceuticals, and food
processing. Implementation of investment projects is a priority. We are also
ready to cooperate in tourism, as the flow of tourists to Vladimir Region
increases every year. We believe that economic partnership will become an
important component in stabilizing the world,” noted Alexander Avdeev,
Governor of Vladimir Region.
As part of developing comprehensive relations between
Russia and Africa, Vladimir Region administration organized a business
programme for the diplomatic corps of African countries in April 2022: Angola,
Benin, Guinea, Kenya, Tanzania, Central African Republic, Eritrea, Ethiopia,
and South Africa. Cooperation in education, tourism, agriculture, and cultural
and humanitarian exchange was discussed during the visit. The delegations
visited historical and cultural sites of the region, one of the industrial
enterprises and an agricultural complex.
